EN31 Bearing Steel Round Bars – Material Description

EN31 is a high-carbon chromium alloy steel specifically designed for bearings and high-wear applications. It is known for its high hardness, excellent wear resistance, high fatigue strength, and dimensional stability after heat treatment. EN31 is the preferred grade for manufacturing anti-friction bearings, precision shafts, spindles, and heavy-duty machine components.

It is equivalent to AISI 52100 / SAE 52100 / 100Cr6 / JIS SUJ2, widely trusted in bearing and automotive industries worldwide.
